Smoky Mountain Service Dogs Training Center

We are excited to host Veterans from across the country for #AQWH2026 February 5-7, 2026.  Veterans start at Camp Woodie in Pinewood, South Carolina.  While at Camp Woodie, the South Carolina Shorebirds Quilts of Valor chapter will present Quilts of Valor to Veterans followed by a group dinner on February 5th.  The following morning all participants will participate in sporting clays and a pheasant tower shoot.  This event hosted 14 first time duck hunters who received shotgun training before shooting last year.  When completed we will move to Whitehouse Farms in Georgetown, South Carolina for the benefit dinner and auction.  Proceeds from the auction will support the Georgetown Chapter of South Carolina Waterfowl Association and Dixon Center.  On the morning of February 7, 2026, all participants will be taken duck hunting on one of several historic properties.

We are happy to be the Presenting Sponsor for this event on November 8th, 2025 in Georgetown, SC.  The VFW Post #6444 is hosting this event to benefit the community.  Proceeds from the event will support two different important groups in the community.  The first group is the Parent Teachers Organization for the Plantersville Elementary School.  They plan to use funding to create a program to reward academic achievement and create a community event.  The second group is community Veterans.  Post #6444 will host community dinners to bring Veterans and their families together in the Georgetown area.
